Q. How much does it cost to join a private golf club?
A. Caloosa Golf & Country Club offers one of the best private golf course membership values in South West Florida. A Private Caloosa membership is easy to justify if you play 2-3 times a week and hit range balls. We offer many amenities including a practice range, driving range, clubhouse, banquet facility with a dance floor, and social events. Q. Can I play the course before I join?
A. People who would like to join our private golf course get 1 complimentary round. We also offer a trial membership that can run from 2 months to 12 months for individuals or couples. These can be extended or converted into full membership.

Q. Does my wife or partner get to be a member if I join a private club?
A. If a husband or wife joins as an individual member, their partner gets a free social membership. With this type of membership, they can play our private golf course 5 times a month, but will still have to pay the green fees.

Q. Do all private clubs have initiation fees?
A. Most private golf courses do have an initiation fee. Caloosa Golf and Country Club normally have an initiation fee of $1500, but that is currently being waived. Contact us today for more information on memberships.

Q. Do you have golf tournaments?
A. At Caloosa Golf and Country Club, we offer a number of golf tournaments for men, women, couples, and teams throughout the year. We also have several men, women, and couple groups that you can join. In addition, we have a number of open tee times available throughout the day at our private golf course if you want to play with your partner, friends or family.

Q. Does your private club have a teaching pro for beginners?
A. The sport of golf is more popular than ever. According to the National Golf Foundation, as of 2019, the number of golf participants in the U.S. stood at approximately 24.3 million. We welcome golfers of all skill levels at our private golf course. We have experienced teaching pros available who offer both individual and group lessons.

Q. Do you have a driving range and practice range?
A. We have the best practice facilities in Sun City Center. They include an on site driving range, a practice pitch, chip and sand bunker area, and two large practice putting greens. The practice facility is available to members and their guests 7 days a week. These amenities are included with the membership to our private golf course.

Q. Does Caloosa Golf & Country Club have a banquet facility?
A. Our banquet facility is available to the public to rent for receptions, parties, and other social events. We have a list of recommended caterers and entertainers we can provide to anyone interested in using our banquet space. Members of our private golf course can rent the facility for a reduced rate. Q. What is the cost for storing a member-owned golf cart at Caloosa?
A. Cost is $35/month plus applicable tax. Includes the electricity for your battery charger.

Q. Is maintenance of the member-owned golf cart the owners responsibility?
A. Yes

Q. Is the golf cart storage area monitored with cameras?
A. No. However access into the cart barn requires an access code.

Q. Is a member-owned golf cart insured for theft or damage by Caloosa Golf & Country Club?
A. No. Members have their own insurance coverage for their golf carts, golf clubs or stored personal possessions.

Q. What are the current cart rental rates?
A. Member rates are $10 for 18 holes and $5 for 9 holes. Guest rates are $20 for 18 holes and $10 for 9 holes. Rates do not include the 7.5 percent sales tax.

Q. Do members pay any other fees for golf or use of the practice facilities?
A. No, there are no trail fees or range ball fees.

Q. Does your course allow public play?
A. No. However, non-members may play as guests, accompanied by a member.

Q. What are the current greens fees for a guest?
A. $37 for 18 holes and $20 for 9 holes. Rates do not include the 7.5 percent sales tax.

Q. Can I bring my dog with me on my cart when I play golf?
A. No, dogs and other pets are not permitted on the course.

Q. How does a new member get started in a foursome or golf group?
A. New members are provided with a complete listing of the women’s and men’s groups that play daily and the names of the group leaders. These groups are open to all members; some groups have handicap limits and others do not.

Q. Do you have a bar or restaurant?
A. No. We have beer, wine and soft drinks available for purchase in our beverage room. Our self-serve tap beer is $1. Caterers are hired for dinner and lunch events. On the course or at the Club members may always BYOB.
